Biography:

Dane Taylor Trio is a Power-Blues/Rock band from Cape Town, South Africa.
Taylor formed the Dane Taylor Trio with friends, drummer Justin Mark and bassist Rob Shaw.Rob was later replaced by Steve Deck.

Dane and Justin both studied through BERKLEE SCHOOL of MUSIC in Boston USA. Steve graduated at THE UNIVERSITY of CAPE TOWN with a degree in Music. The three of them achieved top grades, critical knowledge and skill, which play a crucial role in their songwriting, production and direction.

Heavily influenced by great artists such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Raconteurs, Kings Of Leon and John Mayer, the trio portray a keen sense of melody and groove which keeps them honest and energetic.

Their first release entitled "ForeWord" was written, recorded and produced independently in 3 short months. Recorded mostly live, in the space of three days, the trio clearly wanted to capture a certain organic entity and honesty on this debut EP.
